All our cakes are made from scratch using only the finest quality ingredients (no packet mixes here).
We use time honoured recipes and are proud that our rich moist fruit cake was given a Silver award at The Squires Kitchen Exhibition in 2008. This recipe is an old family favourite and has not changed in more than 30 years.

A Rich Moist Fruit Cake
The finest fruits soaked in a quality brandy and matured for at least 3 months.
A Vanilla or Chocolate sponge
Layered with a Salted Caramel Buttercream
A Madagascar Vanilla Sponge
Layered with a seedless raspberry conserve and a Madagascar vanilla buttercream.
A Refreshing Moist Lemon Sponge
Drizzled with a Limoncello syrup and layered with a lemon curd and lemon buttercream.
A Decadent Chocolate Sponge
Layered with a Belgain chocolate ganache.
A Baileys Sponge
Soaked in a Baileys syrup and layered with a Baileys buttercream
An Amaretto Sponge
A Vanilla Sponge made with Ground Almonds and soaked in an
Amaretto syrup and layered with a Black Cherry conserve and an Amaretto buttercream.
A Coffee Sponge
Layered with a coffee buttercream.
Several of our cakes contain nuts as an ingredient therefore
we cannot guarantee that our kitchen is nut free.
Cariad's Cakes is a home based business and is registered with the Ashfield council.
We are inspected regularly and hold a Food Hygiene Rating of 5
